At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

Toys for Tomorrow: Professional Learning for Adults, Educators and Artists

Artists and arts educators are invited to join Australian artist Olga Cironis for a three-hour sculpture workshop. Enjoy a short tour of the Hatched: National Graduate Show before experimenting with a range of sculptural textiles techniques including stitching, tying, weaving and wrapping. You will choose an everyday object to up-cycle as you explore themes including identity, domesticity and personal narrative.
Olga’s art practice contains links to various areas of the curriculum including: The Arts; Geography; History; Sustainability; and Language.
