At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

yourseven

Your life in seven photo booths.

Based on Jaques’ famous speech from “As You Like it”, this playful encounter asks you to consider your life journey through Shakespeare’s seven ages of man. What has your life been like so far and what is yet to come?
A world premiere featuring a talented cast of bright young theatre makers and performers from WA Youth Theatre Company, this new work offers a refreshing perspective post Snapchat and Instagram to explore the private drama of you.

Created by James Berlyn, the Co-founder of Proximity Festival, this work takes you on a journey through seven one-on-one encounters to recreate and predict your own life, compiling a bespoke album of Polaroid photos along the way.
With Shakespeare and forgotten technology as your guides, yourseven is a touching and intimate flash-forward journey all about you.
Presented with WA Youth Theatre Company for FRINGE WORLD Festival 2018
