At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

XR Hackathon Returns

XR Hackathon Returns

The PICA XR Hackathon program returns for 2022!

Following a hugely successful pilot program in 2021, PICA is expanding opportunities for artists of all backgrounds to learn about developing work in an XR (extended reality) format. Experience first-hand the immersive powers of XR, and connect with other artists, technical experts and industry leaders in the exciting emerging games and technology sector.

Culminating in the presentation of freshly commissioned artworks at XR:WA Festival in September, the multi-stage program provides a range of opportunities to learn and experience XR.

Keep an eye on our socials and website for more Hackathon information!
