At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

On Labour: Four Live Works Invitation

PICA invites you to the premiere season of On Labour: Four Live Works.

On Labour is informed by the practices and lived experiences of WA-based artists Grace Connors, Barbara Hostalek and Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa, and interstate artist Sarah Rodigari.

Featuring three brand new works and a WA premiere, On Labour traces the entanglements of labour and identity through performances that encompass movement, poetry, pathos and humour.

From debt collection and workforce casualisation, to the intersections of race, class and gender, On Labour asks whose labour counts, under what conditions and what constitutes work?

Join us on Thursday 2 July at 7pm for a charged night of performance throughout the PICA building.

Register for tickets before Monday 22 June using the form below. Tickets will be issued the week of Monday 22 June.
