At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

歸屬 Gui Shu (Belong) is an immersive performance experience currently in development combining sound, film and choreography. From the laneways, malls and teeming streets of Taipei to the rivers, bushscapes and suburbia of Western Australia, this is a series of arresting portraits of people and place, reflecting how culture and space shape us.
An intercultural collaboration between Australia and Taiwan developed over three years through residencies in Taipei, Mandurah, Bundanon and Perth, this next stage will explore the work’s immersive interdisciplinary form.
