You’re invited to PICA’s Block Party: Djinang. We team up with our friends at The Blue Room Theatre and Picabar once more, to bring you a final party in the PICA carpark. Join us as we continue to celebrate the Djeran–Makuru season at PICA, consisting of Revealed and GUDIRR GUDIRR.

Curated and hosted by Cezera Critti-Schnaars, we bring you a line up of fire First Nations artists: Kobi Arthur Morrison, ICONYX, Boox Kid, and DJ Macca. Bring in the long weekend with good music, drinks and eats, and a walk around the PICA Galleries, open til late.

About the artist

Cezera Critti-Schnaars

Based in Perth, Western Australia, Cezera is a proud Nyoongar and Greek theatre maker whose passion for theatre started when she was a kid. As a teenager, she branched out into writing her own work, participating in Yirra Yaakin Writers’ Group. She completed the Aboriginal Performance Course at WAAPA in 2018. Since, she has worked with a number of companies in both acting, writing and directing positions. Recently she wrote and starred in her debut play Salted Pretzels (2023) at The Blue Room Theatre with APK Productions and directed ALL BOYS (2024) with every other theatre company for The Blue Room Theatre. For her performance in Hecate (2020) she was awarded Best Newcomer and Best Supporting Actress at the PAWA awards.

Kobi Arthur Morrison

Kobi is a Bibbulmun Noongar who was born and raised in Boorloo, Perth. While working at Bold Park Community School and Community Arts Network, Kobi coordinates cultural initiatives such as Madjitil Moorna, Koondarm, Walyalup Kaanajil and Koorlong. Music projects including Koortal, Artie Parfitt and Endeavourous are projects that earned him the 2018 Perth NAIDOC Youth of the Year award.

ICONYX

ICONYX is a 17-year-old, dynamic Kukutja and Pintupi artist whose debut album Blak On Trak was released by Skinny Fish Music on March 21st, 2025 showcasing her extraordinary talent as a singer/songwriter. ICONYX has been featured in articles with the Rolling Stone, The Music Online, and ABC News, National Indigenous Times, NIT Style Up, and Australian Music Scene. In addition, her music video for “Mulyawongk” was broadcast on Rage, and she has had interviews and music played across multiple Australian radio stations. ICONYX is a rising star with a bright future ahead, and she continues to inspire audiences with her music and her unwavering determination to reach for the stars.

Boox Kid

Boox Kid is a First Nation (Noongar) artist blending dreamy electropop with cross-genre versatility. His debut EP, Reflections (April 2024), garnered over 200k streams, with track “I Don’t Mind” featured on major editorial playlists. A prominent performer, Boox has graced stages at BIGSOUND, Nannup Music Festival, and Perth Festival, and supported acts like George Ezra and Jen Cloher. Beyond music, Boox has showcased his talent in Noongar-language operas, Koolbardi Wer Wardong and Wundig Wer Wilura, and debuted as a sound designer in Yirra Yakkin’s Operation Boomerang. An advocate for First Nations artists, Boox participated in APRA NATSIMO’s RESONATE program, collaborating with artists like Jem Cassar-Daly, Cloe Terare and Candice Lorrae.

DJ Macca

DJ Macca, an electrifying young indigenous DJ, is ready to take the music scene by storm with his unique beats and vibrant energy. Specialising in house and tech house music, DJ Macca’s sets are a dynamic blend of pulsating rhythms and infectious grooves that are sure to get any crowd moving. His passion for music and dance is evident in every performance, as he seamlessly mixes tracks that resonate with both heart and soul. With an eagerness to share his music, DJ Macca is ready to deliver a killer set for you and your mob. Whether it’s a local event or a larger festival, his performances are an invitation to experience the vibrant energy and cultural richness he brings to the decks. Keep an eye out for DJ Macca—he’s a name you won’t want to forget!
