How can movement leave a mark? 

Join Hatched artist Jessica Shannon for a playful, hands-on workshop inspired by her creative practice. Together, families will explore how movement, materials and imagination can come together to make art in unexpected ways.

Using found and weathered objects instead of ordinary paintbrushes, participants will roll, drag, pull and print across the canvas to create their own vibrant marks and textures. Inspired by the earthy colours and changing landscapes of the Pilbara, Jessica invites children and grown-ups alike to experiment, get curious and discover what happens when everyday materials are used in new ways.
